1. Who we are
New Life is provided by K&G Apps LLC, Arizona, USA ("we", "us"). This policy covers the New Life mobile app for iOS and Android, and this website.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at newlifehabitsapp@gmail.com.
2. Information that stays on your device
You do not create an account to use the app. The following is saved in the app's storage on your phone or tablet, and we do not operate a server that receives or stores it:
- the name you enter in the app;
- your habits, including their titles, schedules, goals and reminder times;
- your daily completion history, streaks and per-habit progress;
- the milestones you have earned;
- your gratitude journal entries and drafts;
- your Bible reading plan and progress;
- your settings, such as dark mode and reminder preferences.
Because this information lives only on your device, we cannot restore it if you delete the app, reset your phone or move to a new one. Your device may include app data in its own backups (for example iCloud or Google backups). Those are controlled by your Apple or Google account settings, not by us.
Some of this information is also sent to the service providers described in sections 3 and 4. Those sections list exactly what.
Widgets
If you add a New Life widget, the app shares habit titles, progress, your streak and the daily verse with the widget through storage on your device. Widgets may be visible to anyone who can see your screen.
Reminders
Reminders are local notifications that your device schedules itself. The app does not register for push notifications, and reminders are not sent from a server. A reminder can show a habit's title on your lock screen, depending on the notification privacy setting you choose in the app and your device settings.
Bible text
The Bible text (World English Bible) and the daily verses are included in the app. Reading does not require a connection, and the app does not contact a server to fetch Scripture.
3. Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog, hosted on PostHog's US cloud, to understand how the app is used so that we can improve it. The app sends the following to PostHog:
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Habit activity | When you create, complete, archive or delete a habit: the habit's title (including titles you write yourself), an internal habit ID, its category and type, and where you completed it (the app, a widget or a notification). When you finish onboarding: the titles of the habits you chose and the reading plan you picked. When you complete every habit for the day: how many habits and your current streak. |
| Bible reading | The passage, book and chapter you open, the reading plan you start, and the plan days and plans you complete. |
| Milestones | Which milestone you earned. |
| Reminders | Changes to reminder settings and their new values, whether you allowed notifications, pauses, and when you open or act on a reminder. The text of a reminder is not sent. |
| Subscription | When an upgrade screen is shown, dismissed or skipped, the product purchased, and whether your Pro subscription is active. |
| App usage | App installs, updates, opens and closes; which screens you view; and which buttons and controls you tap. |
| Profile summary | The number of habits you have, your current streak, whether onboarding is complete, whether reminders are on, and whether you have Pro. |
| Device and connection | Technical details that PostHog's software collects, such as device model, operating system, app version, language and time zone. PostHog also receives your IP address when the app connects to it. |
These events are linked to a random identifier that the app generates on your device. They are not linked to your name, which the app does not send to PostHog, or to an email address, which the app never asks for.
Not sent to PostHog: your name and the contents of your gratitude journal.
Habit titles and Bible reading activity can reveal religious beliefs or other personal matters. If you prefer not to share that kind of detail, keep the titles of habits you create general.
Your choices about analytics
The app does not currently include a setting to turn analytics off. You can:
- use Settings → Delete all data, which erases the app's data on your device and replaces your analytics identifier with a new one, so later activity is not connected to earlier activity; and
- ask us to delete analytics data already collected about you by contacting newlifehabitsapp@gmail.com.
PostHog's own practices are described in the PostHog privacy policy.
4. Subscriptions and purchases (Superwall, Apple, Google)
New Life Pro is an optional paid subscription. We use Superwall to show upgrade screens and to know whether your subscription is active. The app sends Superwall:
- the name you entered in the app;
- whether you are on iOS or Android;
- an identifier that Superwall generates for your installation, shown in the app as your Support ID;
- which upgrade screens you saw and your subscription status, together with technical device information collected by Superwall's software.
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) using your store account. We never receive your payment card details. Apple and Google handle your payment information under their own privacy policies.
5. How we use information, and who receives it
We use the information described above to run the app's features, provide Pro access, understand which features are used so we can improve the app, and answer support requests.
We do not sell your information, and the app contains no advertising or advertising trackers. The only companies that receive information from the app are the providers named in this policy: PostHog, Superwall, and Apple or Google. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
PostHog and Superwall process information in the United States, and possibly other countries, which may be outside the country where you live.
6. If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as your Support ID. We use it only to respond to you.
7. Keeping and deleting information
- On your device: information stays until you delete it. You can delete individual habits, use Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall the app.
- Held by PostHog or Superwall: deleting the app or its data does not erase information already sent to these providers. To ask us to delete it, contact newlifehabitsapp@gmail.com and include your Support ID (Settings → Support ID) if you have one, so we can find your records.
- Subscriptions: deleting the app or its data does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. To make a request, contact newlifehabitsapp@gmail.com. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
9. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will delete it.
10. This website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the pages. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google. We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising on this website.
11. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date.
